Greencastle – A 19-month old girl
was injured fatally yesterday by a truck driven by her father. Diana Jo
Ridgway, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ridgway, RR 1, Bainbridge, died in
Putnam County Hospital here of head injuries. She was struck an hour earlier by
a backing truck loaded with grave, one mile from her home. A 3-year-old
brother, Louis Ridgeway Jr with whom she had been playing along the banks of a
creek watched in horror as the backing truck struck his sister. Authorities
said the father, who took the children to the creek with him in the truck
apparently thought they were both clear of the vehicle when he backed it away
